Monitoring and Evaluation Manual

Monitoring and Evaluation ManualThis manual is intended to help those involved in negotiation and management of Global Fund grants to better understand the processes relevant to the Global Fund. It provides a comprehensive set of guidelines on M&E standards and practice throughout the lifecycle of Global Fund grants. The manual has five modules that present the cornerstones of M&E in the grants:

  1. Performance-based funding and M&E in practice: principles and requirements
  2. Completing the performance framework templates
  3. Developing an M&E plan
  4. Carrying out an M&E self-assessment
  5. An overview of PR assessment and data verification

The M&E manual can be complemented by a number of other M&E documents and guidelines that have been published by the Global Fund in collaboration with key partners. These are referred to by individual modules as appropriate
