Procurement of Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs)

Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs) are today's most effective anti-malarial treatments. In the tables below, manufacturers' contact information is presented under "Administrative data", and specifications of their products under "Technical data". These tables present only medicines which have been WHO prequalified or which are mentioned in WHO procurement information, in which there are medicines procured by WHO and UNICEF on the basis of the review of individual product dossiers and successful inspection of manufacturing sites in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Some prequalified medicines are not mentioned in the WHO procurement information, because they are no longer recommended for the treatment of malaria.
