Functions:
The primary function of the Executive Committee shall be
- setting the Board agenda and drafting decision points for the Board's consideration;
- oversight of the RBM Partnership Secretariat in work plan implementation; and
- advice on non-planned activities.
The EC does not execute Board functions. The EC's main role is to generate agenda items for regular or extraordinary Board meetings and draft decision points for the Board to either approve or reject.
The Executive Committee consists of ten members: one Board member from each of the seven constituencies, plus the hosting agency, all with full voting rights. The EC Chair has a casting vote only. The Executive Director is an ex-officio non-voting member of the Executive Committee. In addition, any Board member may join any EC meeting by teleconference.
